We use Earth Bags, they are made of recycled paper with biopolymer lining. This ensures what you buy doesn’t get damaged during transit.
Our branded sticky tape and stickers are made by No Issue and made from 100% recycled paper that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. They use soy-based inks and vegetable gum (for the sticky stuff).
Please remove the Australia Post mailing sticker - this is not printed by us and we’re not sure whether it is compostable (although we are currently looking into it).
If you don’t have a home compost, please check out this website to find your closest.
Please do not dispose of your compostable bag in the waste or recycling. This is bad for the environment. Other solutions are available, if you’re having trouble, please reach out.
Wash in cold water and in a delicates bag if your heart desires.
End of life:
A quick Google search will find your nearest textiles recycle plant to drop off your products at the end of their life!
Although our products are 95% biodegradable, they aren’t currently able to be composted. We are searching far and wide for a solution that solves this problem, but have not yet found one that exists. Properly disposing of your Underplants or any clothing/fabrics for that matter contributes positively to the climate and wastage crisis.
Before recycling them - finding interesting ways to repurpose the fabric has the biggest impact. We reuse them for rags around the house. Other ideas include turning them into scrunchies or plant ties. If you have any other cool ideas for how to repurpose them, shoot them our way!
